Multi Skilled Tooling Engineer

Responsible for carrying out tooling maintenance activities, repairs and modifications relating to the manufacturing processes, machinery, plant and site.

Main duties include:

  • Carry out day to day Pneumatics/Mechanical and Electrical PPM activities on machinery, based on monthly schedule
  • Ensure rapid response on all machinery breakdowns, fault finding the cause and implement rectification;
  • Capture and record all tooling maintenance work completed;
  • Identify poor performing tooling and provide an improvement plan/capital replacement justification;
  • Keep line management and team up to date with tooling issues;
  • Work closely with the Production and Maintenance team to implement tooling improvement ideas;
  • Capture and record all required KPI information;
  • Prepare purchase requisitions for low critical tooling spares;
  • Liaise with Ancillaries Department re: maintenance and tooling activities;
  • Undertake tasks/activities as and when required by the Engineering Manager;
  • Work alongside external contractors as and when required;
  • Assist in building tooling and maintenance activities, and project and process activities as and when required;
  • Attend training courses relevant to process and machinery
