Our well-established clients are looking to hire an experienced Service Administrator to join their team in their Chesterfield office. 

About The Company: 

The company are specialists in their field of Engineering and Manufacturing.  

They have been established for many years and are leaders of their industry.  The Chesterfield site is a lovely place to work, with all the typical head office departments as well as the factory.   We have worked with them for many years and they are a great company. 

The Role:

Working within the service department (who are a lively and outgoing bunch!), you’ll be responsible for scheduling the activities of a team of engineers.   They will have a programme of scheduled routine maintenance to complete for customers, however breakdowns and issues will occur and require engineers to attend.  As a Service Administrator, it’s your role to schedule the activities of the engineers and prioritise their jobs. Each engineer has a van which contains a certain level of parts and equipment.  Each van is classed as a stock location, so the management of stock is also a big part of the role.  You will often be required to order parts from suppliers and liaise with the engineers to organise their attendance onsite with customers to complete the jobs. 

No two days are ever the same in this role, and as well as being a diligent Administrator, you’ll need sharp people skills as you’ll be speaking regularly to the engineers as well as customers and other people within the business.
