We are currently recruiting for an Operational Auditor - North UK, to join the team at our client, based in Chesterfield. We are looking for a highly organised and self-motivated professional who can build relationships confidently and challenge when necessary.
This is a field based role, with extensive travel throughout the north of the United Kingdom, as well as attending meetings at Head Office in Chesterfield. You must be comfortable with working away several nights a week.

The Role - Operational Auditor - North UK
We are looking for a highly organised and self-motivated professional who has experience of working in a similar Auditor role, within the Vehicle or Motor Trade sector, who can build relationships confidently and challenge when necessary.
Essential skills & experience:
- Experience in Auditing, within - vehicle rental, leasing, fleet management or motor trade
- Ability to carefully inspect vehicles for damage, wear, and compliance with standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills to resolve discrepancies or issues.
- Knowledge of vehicle inspection tools and equipment.
- Familiarity with vehicle parts, features, and their proper functionality.
- Ability to create and present clear and professional documentation for internal and external stakeholders in a professional manner.
- Strong organisational skills to keep accurate records and follow up on audits.
- Comfortable using software to track, report, and manage vehicle audits.
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple audits or inspections efficiently with strong territory management
- Experience with vehicle auditing is essential
The Candidate
We want someone who is friendly, likes meeting new people, and can work alone on the road. You must have vehicle auditing experience.
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Have experience in auditing vehicles
- Understand different types of vehicles and how rental & leasing operations work
- Be organised and able to plan your own schedule each week
- Be willing to travel and stay overnight a night or two away from home when needed
- Be calm and professional when dealing with difficult situations
- Have a good eye for detail and enjoy solving problems
- Be confident using computers. (MS Office)
- Build strong relationships with customers and colleagues
- Most importantly, you’ll represent the company in a positive and professional way wherever you go.
