Health & Safety Coordinator

Location: Two sites in the Chesterfield/Derbyshire area
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

We’re working in partnership with a leading manufacturing business to recruit a Health & Safety Coordinator to support two sites in the Chesterfield/Derbyshire area.

The Role – Health & Safety Coordinator

Reporting to the Group HSE Manager, you’ll be responsible for supporting and driving safety standards across both sites. You’ll help maintain compliance with legislation, assist in developing robust H&S processes and play an active role in building a positive safety culture throughout the business.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the Group HSE Manager with all on-site health and safety activities

  • Working closely with Site Managers and Operations teams to achieve safety goals

  • Monitoring and reporting on key H&S performance indicators

  • Assisting in maintaining ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems

  • Ensuring compliance with all H&S legislation and internal policies

  • Conducting risk assessments and recommending improvements

  • Participating in regular site safety meetings and initiatives
     

 

The Candidate – Health & Safety Coordinator

You’ll be someone who enjoys being hands-on in a manufacturing environment, with strong communication skills and the confidence to engage with colleagues at all levels.

Essential:

  • NEBOSH National General Certificate

  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

  • Practical experience with risk assessments and audits
     

Desirable:

  • NEBOSH Diploma (or working towards)
    IOSH or Environmental qualifications

  • National Compliance and Risk qualifications
