We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter, to join the team at our Engineering client, based in Nottinghamshire.
They are a well-established and market leading engineering contractor, with strong links to the water and nuclear industries.
This role is field based and will cover the East Midlands region.
This is a permanent vacancy. You will be a direct employee, from day one.

The Role – Mechanical Fitter
As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for carrying out Mechanical works on various sites as instructed by the Project Manager
- General Mechanical duties
- Installation of mechanical equipment such as motors, gearboxes, bearings
- Fitting of steel support systems
- Fault finding on mechanical equipment
- May be required to undertake other duties such as assisting an Electrician or Civils engineer
- Adhere to all Health and Safety requirements and rules on Site.
- Understand and sign onto all CPP/RAMS on Site and follow Safe Systems of Work and Risk Assessments.
Other Responsibilities
- To understand and adhere to Company policies and procedures
- Comply with company Health and Safety policies, procedures and codes of practice
- Demonstrate and uphold Company values
The Candidate-YOU!
Must have:
- Mechanical apprenticeship or Level 3 Mechanical qualification as minimum
- Have a proven background in the water industry or gas/oil
- Confined Space training (Current)
- CSCS Card holder
Desirable:
- Lifting operations qualified (CPCS)
- First Aid
- Health and Safety trained (IOSH)
