We are seeking a dynamic, organised and personable individual for the role of Purchasing Administrator  to work for our clients, who are a successful and rapidly expanding company who are leaders in their industry.  They supply a variety of FMCG products to both B2B abd B2C markets, based in Birmingham City Centre.  

 

The purpose of the Purchasing Administrator role, will be report to and work closely with the Head of Procurement and support with the purchase of large volumes of wholesale goods.

  • Negotiable salary between 22K and 30K, depending on experience

  • 37 hours a week

THE ROLE

The role of Purchasing Administrator will involve:

  • Creating Purchase Orders using internal bespoke system

  • New product administration; SKU creation, obtaining media assets, monitor ETA’s etc

  • Communicate with shipping agents

  • Liaise closely with Warehouse 

  • Stock availability checks

  • Liaise with National Account Managers

  • Various ad-hoc administration duties

YOU

To be successful in your application for Purchasing Administrator, it’s essential that you have: 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Previous experience in a similar role

  • Knowledge of Purchasing/Procurement

  • High level organisational skills

  • A methodical approach to daily work 

  • An understanding of managing your workload to strict deadlines

  • A professional and personable character

  • Experience of using MS Office packages to a high standard

  • An aptitude for working with numbers

  • Confidence when on the phone. 

 

This is a full time permanent role as Purchasing Administrator, based within a close-knit team, with long-term progression and training available.
