We are currently recruiting for a Quality and Health & Safety Co-Ordinator, to work at our client, based in Chesterfield.

The role will be responsible for supporting the Managers in maintaining and improving the quality systems and accreditations across the business and to lead and support as appropriate improvement initiatives.

 

Role: Quality and Health & Safety Co-Ordinator

Hours: Full-time Monday to Friday / Part-time considered

Duration: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Salary: £35,000-£40,000 (pro rata for part time)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To support, manage and maintain compliance to ISO 9001:2015 accreditation.
  • To help develop quality systems and accreditations
  • Provide visible safety leadership and perform risk assessments to ensure health and safety standards are maintained
  • To drive improved site quality performance through analysis of quality and results, customer feedback and provide periodic and exceptional reports to management and teams
  • To undertake internal system and technical audits as required in the agreed time frame.
  • To have responsibility for evidence gathering as and when required.
  • Gather internal performance data to achieve internal KPI criteria e.g. customer complaints.
  • Maintain quality issues register and assist with root cause analysis and corrective action process to prevent recurrence.
  • Ensure that all control documents reflect the standards as stipulated by the various official bodies.
  • Complete customer questionnaires and liaise as required.
  • To work across different departments within the organisation at all levels, to train and support the team with quality related projects.
  • To Chair/deputise for Managers as and when required at Meetings.
  • Support customer and Supplier audits as required.
  • To perform all tasks as and when required in connection with this role, as deemed necessary

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ideally has a science-based Degree / background.
  • Has an ability to solve mathematical problems
  • A good attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Able to think in a logical manner
  • Work effectively at all levels both internally and externally
  • Good Interpersonal & team working skills
  • Good verbal and written communications skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages
  • Strong analytical skills and an understanding of uncertainty of measurement
  • Demonstrate strong organisational skills
  • Understands how to deliver good customer service
