We are currently recruiting for a Sheet Metal Worker, to join the team at our engineering client, based in Sutton in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire.
They are a long-established manufacturing organisation, using a variety of Machining and Fabrication processes to manufacture their products from their modern purpose built facility.
This is a permanent vacancy.
Salary details & package
- £29, 771.04 per annum
- 39 hours per week
- Early finish on a Friday (5-hour day)
- 33 days annual leave (inclusive of Bank Holidays)

The Role – (Sheet Metal Worker)
As a Sheet Metal Worker, you will report directly to the Fabrication Team Leader, working as part of the multi skilled Fabrication team.
The Candidate
- Attention to detail.
- Can do attitude.
- Ability to work in a team and independently.
- Ability to use own initiative.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Press Brake Operator – Amada LVD Press Brake
- Sheet Metal Work
- Welding
- Deburr
- Polishing
- Finishing
- Drilling and countersink
- Forming profiles of aerospace products to a high specification to AS9001
- Read 2D aerospace drawings.
- Use hand and power tools.
- Working with aluminium, aerospace composites and titanium
Qualifications and experience:
The minimum expected qualifications required to successfully perform the job and experience of working to Aerospace standards are:
- NVQ qualified or time served.
- Press brake experience - advantageous.
- Welding qualifications – distinct advantage.
- Ability to read drawings.
- Familiar with working to tight tolerances within Aerospace.
