Farm Operations & Compliance Administrator – The Opportunity
Edwards Employment Solutions are recruiting for a Farm Operations & Compliance Administrator to join a well-established and forward-thinking agricultural business.
This is not your average admin role. The Farm Operations & Compliance Administrator will play a critical role in ensuring operational control, compliance, and traceability across the business — supporting both field and office-based teams.
If you’re someone who thrives on accuracy, enjoys working with data, and takes pride in keeping systems watertight, this is a genuinely impactful position where your work directly supports operational performance and compliance standards.
The Role – Farm Operations & Compliance Administrator
As a Farm Operations & Compliance Administrator, you will:
-
Maintain accurate, auditable records across all field and crop activity (from sowing through to dispatch)
-
Track and manage stock records for key inputs including seed, fertiliser, crop protection and materials
-
Monitor pallet movements, including reconciliation and recovery tracking
-
Ensure full compliance with pesticide and fertiliser regulations, maintaining clear traceability records
-
Track operational spend including inputs, fuel and consumables, highlighting trends and variances
-
Provide regular reports and insights to support operational and financial decision-making
-
Prepare documentation for audits and ensure compliance with farm assurance standards
-
Maintain compliance systems including COSHH, risk assessments, HSE documentation and industry registers
-
Continuously improve administrative systems, processes and record-keeping standards
The Candidate – Farm Operations & Compliance Administrator
We’re looking for a Farm Operations & Compliance Administrator who is:
-
Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
-
Confident working independently and managing their own workload
-
Comfortable working closely with operational and field-based teams
-
Process-driven with a strong sense of accountability
-
Calm under pressure, particularly during peak seasonal periods
Essential Experience & Skills
-
Previous experience in an Agricultural Administrator, Compliance, or Operations Admin role
-
Strong understanding of UK agriculture, turf production, or similar sectors
-
Excellent IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
-
Experience with farm management or operational systems (e.g. Gatekeeper, Farmplan, Landmark or similar)
-
Strong understanding of compliance, traceability, and record-keeping requirements
Why Apply?
-
Competitive salary dependent on experience
-
Key role within a growing and respected business
-
Opportunity to take ownership of systems, compliance and operational reporting
-
Varied, responsible role with real impact on business performance
-
Supportive environment with long-term career potential
