The Opportunity

We are recruiting an experienced HR Officer to join a fast-paced FMCG business, with a heavy focus on their warehouse and logistics operation, but also supporting office and field-based staff. 

This is a hands-on, operational HR role. You won’t just be pushing paperwork - you’ll be a visible presence on-site, supporting managers, driving compliance, and ensuring the people agenda aligns with business performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day HR advice and guidance to managers

  • Support with employee relations matters (absence, performance, disciplinaries, grievances)

  • Manage recruitment and onboarding processes

  • Ensure compliance with employment law and company policies

  • Maintain accurate HR records and documentation

  • Support payroll processes and HR reporting

  • Assist with workforce planning and headcount tracking

  • Contribute to culture, engagement and retention initiatives

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in an HR Officer / HR Advisor level role

  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law

  • Confident managing ER cases independently

  • Experience within warehouse, logistics or industrial environments desirable

  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail

  • Calm under pressure and commercially aware

  • CIPD Level 3 or above desirable
