Temporary Sewing Machinist (Maternity Cover)

Edwards Employment Solutions are currently seeking a skilled Sewing Machinist to join a well-established client on a contract maternity cover basis. This is a great opportunity for an experienced candidate looking for stable, full-time work, with the possibility of longer-term prospects for the right individual.
The Role:
- Temporary contract covering maternity leave (approx. 9 months)
- Potential for the role to become permanent based on performance (not guaranteed)
- Working within a busy production environment, producing high-quality canvas products
Working Hours:
- 40 hours per week
- Monday to Thursday: 08:00 – 17:00
- Friday: 08:00 – 14:30
Pay Rate:
- £12.71 per hour
- Higher rates available depending on experience and specialist skills (e.g. bespoke work, welding, etc.)
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a sewing machinist
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Additional skills such as bespoke fabrication or welding are advantageous
