Edwards Employment Solutions are recruiting for an experienced Counterbalance Operator to join a busy and well-established turf distribution site near Pocklington.
This Counterbalance Operator role sits within the Goods Out department, where you will be responsible for moving pallets of turf and other bagged products safely around site ready for dispatch.
This is a fast-paced warehouse and yard environment working alongside a large team of experienced Counterbalance Drivers.
This position offers ongoing work with the opportunity to move into a permanent Counterbalance Driver position for the right candidate.
The Counterbalance Driver Role
As a Counterbalance Operator your duties will include:
Operating a FLT safely around the warehouse and yard
Loading and unloading deliveries using a FLT
Transporting completed orders to designated dispatch areas
Moving pallets of turf and bagged products around site
Ensuring all loads are secure before transport
Supporting yard operatives with the preparation of outgoing loads
Driving with care and following all site safety procedures
Experience handling bagged products or double stacking using a FLT would be beneficial but is not essential.
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this Counterbalance Operator role you must have:
A valid externally accredited FLT licence.
Previous experience working as a FLT Operator
Good awareness of warehouse and yard safety procedures
The ability to work efficiently within a busy warehouse or yard environment
What’s On Offer
£13.00 – £17.50 per hour
Monday to Friday working
Weekly pay
Ongoing work with the opportunity for a temp-to-perm FLT role
