Fabrication Welder – MIG / Steel Fabrication

Salary: £34,320 – £39,520 per annum, depending on experience
Contract: Permanent | Day Shifts

We're currently recruiting for an experienced Fabrication Welder to join a well-established engineering and manufacturing company based in Chesterfield.

This is an excellent permanent opportunity for someone with a strong background in steel fabrication and MIG welding, who can produce high-quality work and confidently work from engineering drawings.

The business is looking for a skilled fabricator who takes pride in their workmanship and is looking for a long-term opportunity within an established engineering environment.

The Role

• Fabricating and welding a variety of structural steel components.

• Carrying out MIG welding to a high standard.

• Working with mild steel and various steel sections.

• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.

• Measuring, cutting, preparing and assembling steel components.

• Producing accurate fabrications to required specifications.

• Inspecting finished work to ensure quality standards are met.

• Maintaining a safe, clean and organised working environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience in steel fabrication is essential.

• Strong MIG welding experience.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

• Experience measuring, cutting and assembling steelwork.

• Good attention to detail and pride in workmanship.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Reliable, hardworking and committed to producing quality work.
