Mobile Rig Operator
Location: UK-wide (Based from Chesterfield)
Salary: £13.84 per hour during training (first 3 months), increasing to £14.85 per hour after successful completion of training.
Additional Pay:
- Saturday: Time and a Half
- Sunday: Double Time
- Night Shift Premium: +£1.00 per hour
Are you looking to build a long-term career in engineering? We're recruiting for a Mobile Rig Operator to join a well-established engineering business that supplies specialist equipment.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with mechanical aptitude who is looking to develop their engineering skills through full training and genuine career progression.
The Role
You'll travel to customer sites across the UK, operating specialist mobile equipment and ensuring it runs safely and efficiently. Projects vary in length, with some requiring you to work away from home for up to 10 days at a time. Working patterns can include days, nights and weekends, with shifts provided in advance.
This is largely a lone-working role, so you'll need to be confident, reliable and able to work independently.
What We're Looking For
- Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
- Flexible with travel and staying away from home
- Mechanical experience or aptitude
- Basic machining knowledge or experience would be advantageous
- Experience within the water industry is beneficial but not essential
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
